This is a fun book with some really great ideas. It has an easy to follow format and good instructions for putting these cakes together. My only problem with it is that it is ONLY for fondant. That seems to be the trend in cake decorating these days. This book does tell you how to work with fondant and color fondant and that is something I needed when I bought the book. While it makes for a clean finish I feel it is lacking in taste. That is just my opinion though and this book still gives some ideas that I will be using as my four children have their birthdays in the coming years. I think if you are wanting some easy ideas and some basic instruction on cakes and fondant and creative inspiration this book can get you started in the right direction. The cakes will take more than a few minutes to put together but the look on my kids faces has been worth the work!
