This is a really great book for people looking for freezer recipes--both the kind that you cook and freeze as well as those you want to prepare, package, freeze and then pull out for quick cooking. ALL recipes have nutritional breakdowns for those who have dietary restrictions to follow. The recipes are for REAL food--not the typically frozen stuff. I was thrilled to find a variation of my favorite Chicken Paprika that was freezer-friendly. And Snapper with Orange Sauce...? Butternut Squash Risotto...? There are chapters for soups/stews/chowders, fish & shellfish, breads/muffins/quick breads, desserts/cakes/cookies--even sauces and condiments! The beginning of the book has an excellent primer on the benefits and basics of freezing; how to do it withOUT a standalone/comm'l freezer; cutting grocery costs; thawing--including thawing quickly and safely; and planning.
