With a variety of quality, nonstick pans sized for individual baked treats, this five-piece set is a cute starter kit--especially for preteens, who might appreciate having their own pans to experiment with in the kitchen. A full cookie sheet, rather than the 7-by-10-inch minitray, might be less exasperating for impatient cookie bakers. However, it wouldn't fit neatly in small hands, or in the gift box, which also includes a 3-1/4-by-5-3/4-inch loaf pan (for tiny tea cakes and quick breads), and two 4-inch cake pans (for a diminutive layer cake to split with friends). The pint-size muffin pan will make half a dozen 3-inch muffins or cupcakes. All pans are nonstick and dishwasher-safe.
