In addition to its famous bowls and serving platters, Nambé makes bakeware out of its gleaming, hand-polished metal alloy. This handsome, rectangular casserole dish is perfect for lasagna and enchiladas, and features gently rounded corners and a generous rim that flares to offset points at each end for a contemporary look. Amazingly durable, the dish is safe for use in the oven, under the broiler, on a stovetop burner, and in the freezer, so that a casserole or dessert can be made ahead of time, frozen, reheated, and served directly at the table. The thick metal retains heat (or cold) exceptionally well, and will not crack, chip, or tarnish. Like all Nambé metalware, the casserole is not safe for microwave or dishwasher-use. Square, round, and lidded round casseroles are also available. Nambé was founded in 1951 in a village of the same name in scenic northern New Mexico. From the beginning, the company focused on hand-producing high-quality, functional items such as metal bowls and trays with great attention to timeless, modern design.
