The blade will cut through vegetables such as zucchini, cucumbers and dikon radishes. The blade is rigid and does not move back and forth; therefore it is not good for hard cheeses. Semi-hard cheeses such as Cheddar, Colby, Monterey Jack, Swiss, Havarti and Gouda will slice perfectly using this slicer. This beautiful plate-style slicer is great for parties. Guests can slice their own portion of cheese. It measures 10" L x 7" W x 1" H. Dishwasher safe. Use extra caution when pulling it out of the dishwasher. Avoid pulling it from the blade, which is very sharp.
