This beautiful set of three cheese knives comes packed in a distinctive velvet-lined, brushed aluminum case for an impressive presentation as a wedding or holiday gift for cheese lovers. The set includes a 5-inch soft cheese knife with large holes that slip right through a Stilton or Camembert without sticking; a short, 2-1/2-inch wedge-shaped blade for cracking chunks off of hard cheeses, such as Parmesan or Romano; and a 4-3/4-inch hard cheese knife for evenly slicing Gruyêre or Cheddar and serving the slices with the prongs at the tip of the blade. As part of the Culinar series of cutlery, all knives have are constructed of high-carbon no-stain steel in a contemporary design. Blades are precision-forged for strength and longer edge retention. Full tangs extend through the knives’ ergonomic 18/10 polished stainless-steel handles for balance and are seamlessly encased. The set, which includes a protective, stainless steel gift box with latch, includes: a Soft Cheese Knife: features a curved, 5-in. blade with holes that slip through soft cheese, preventing the blade from sticking. A Hard Cheese Knife: features a curved 4.75-in. blade with prongs for slicing and picking up all kinds of cheese. A Parmesan Cheese Knife: features a short, wedge-shaped, 2.5-in. blade for breaking off bits of Parmesan or other crumbly cheese. As with other Wusthof knives, each cutting utensil in this series is hand-forged by skilled craftsmen following a 38-step manufacturing process. The high-carbon stainless steel blades are hardened to maintain a sharp edge for exact and precise cutting. Full tangs provide perfect balance while the uniquely formed handles add a contemporary elegance.
