Ideal for serving punch at a small gathering, this footed crystal Sheridan bowl exudes a contemporary appeal. The belly of the bowl, which measures ten inches across, features short wedge cuts alternating with longer cuts for a feathered effect. The broad petal-like facets around the foot frame a sunburst design visible through the bottom. The bowl measures seven inches tall and nine inches across the mouth. Vases, as well as the same bowl in a six- and eight-inch size, are also available in the Sheridan pattern. Waterford and Marquis, two prestigious crystal companies, joined forces in 1991 to create a simpler, more modern design line for today's lifestyles. Crafted in Poland and handsomely gift-boxed, this crystal bowl should be washed by hand in moderately hot water with detergent, then dried with a soft cloth to prevent spotting. --Ann Bieri
