Combining a rich palette of deep blues and an off white background, the dinnerware features an ornate border of basket weave and grapevines. Within the border, peaceful scenes of cottages, trees, meadows, and brooks are executed in all the detail of the original etchings. These scenes change from piece to piece for a varied but harmonious effect. Sculptural waves on the rims and bodies of the dinnerware catch the light and add a pleasing texture. Designed for groups, this 45-piece collection includes eight place settings, each with a 10-inch dinner plate, an 8-inch salad plate, an 8-3/4-inch rimmed bowl, a 5-1/2-inch saucer, and an 8-ounce teacup.
