Dansk continues to bring out new dinnerware, such as Boundary, inspired by Danish modern design. Boundary eliminates raised rims in order to create a wider, flatter eating surface on the dinner and salad plates. Shaped to cradle in the hands, the extra-deep cereal bowl and the coffee mug both taper up and outward from the base, then seem to straighten up for the top third, in a compelling, fluid form. While the exterior of each piece is a solid black in a contemporary matte finish, the glossy interior comes in a choice of sky blue or toffee brown, each showing a distinctive two-toned rim. An excellent pattern to give as a gift for its durability as well as its design, Boundary is available by the single piece or in boxed sets, such as this 16-piece service for four. Included are four each: 10-3/8-inch dinner plate, 7-3/4-inch salad plate, 6-inch bowl, and 12-ounce mug. A serving bowl and platter are available separately. Made of stoneware, a high-fired, very strong clay, Boundary stands up to daily use in the microwave and dishwasher, safely keeps food warm in an oven up to 350 degrees F, and can even store leftovers in the freezer.
